Art-ing

This is a stop motion piece I did, first one ever. Uhm.. honestly I got the idea because some kid did a presentation in another class where he made fake blood and then gave us all samples. So I clearly didn't want to waste it, and conveniently wasn't into making a cute cheery piece, so  instead I let my brothers fake kill each other. And I thought it was funny that while we were filming this, our friends came over... Walking into a basement with them covered in blood, my camera set up on its tri-pod, and all the lights off except a strobe light was slightly shocking for them. But it made making the piece a lot more light hearted then the finished product ended up being.

Another one of my brothers, he doesn't really have much of a choice when I ask him to help with art projects of mine, but he does realize they will usually involve being covered in flower, paint, fake blood, dirt... you get the point. This image was taken from a stop motion piece, but I think the image can speak for itself, if not... my bad?

Weeelllllll, this is my brother. He helped with with a stop motion piece I did and this is a still I took from it. It looks violent because the piece I ended up creating wasn't exactly pleasant. But when I looked at some of the images by them selves, away from the context of the piece, I thought that they could still work, ergo here we are with an image of my brother covered in fake blood. Enjoy.

Originally I was trying to duplicate a specific scene from a movie, but once we started I liked how simple it was to have her with no make-up or anything fake. She was caught off guard in this image, talking to my brother. But something about the image seems peaceful to me; its honest.
